Please Don’t Pet Me operates a fan page on Facebook where all are welcome. It is just as much a way to learn more about service dogs and the service dog lifestyle as it is a place to network with others in the service dog community, even developing lasting friendships with the acquaintances you make.

On our fan page, you are welcome to ask any questions you may have about service dogs, share stories about your own experiences, take part in discussions about important service dog issues, share photos of your service dog, if you have one, and even submit photos of your service dog to appear on this website.

Whether you are a current, past or prospective service dog handler, a service dog trainer, a puppy raiser, volunteer or work for a service dog organization or simply want to learn more about service dog partnerships, we invite you to “like” our page and join in the fun!

Similar to the Please Don’t Pet Me fan page on Facebook, our forum is a friendly community where anyone who has a strong interest in service dogs is welcome.

The Please Don’t Pet Me forum is a moderately active forum where our members include but are not limited to experienced handlers of service dogs trained by programs, experienced owner trainers, handlers who are new to the service dog lifestyle and those who are considering a service dog for themselves and want to learn more.

Most members of the Please Don’t Pet Me live with a wide variety of disabilities that their service dogs mitigate and are very respectful of the varying natures of others’ disabilities, lifestyles and needs. You’re sure to feel welcome in our small forum community!

• Register with the Please Don’t Pet Me forum by submitting a user name, password, e-mail address and completing the word verification for security purposes.
• You will receive an automated e-mail confirmation of your registration.
• Administration will contact you as soon as possible; usually within 24 hours of your initial registration.
• You must respond to the e-mail you receive from administration and your membership will be reviewed.
• If your membership is approved, you will receive an e-mail notification.

Please be patient with the amount of time that elapses between registering and being contacted by the Please Don’t Pet Me forum administration. We are a small community, managed by only a few individuals, so delays are possible. We do, however, make every effort to respond to each new registration as expeditiously as possible.
